Welcome! Kick off your shoes, hang up your hat and rest awhile.
After decades as a textile artist, my artistic direction changed in 2007 when I volunteered for a mural painting project. The resultant panels, featuring expansive garden scenes, now hang in the Dementia Care Unit of the Capilano Care Centre in West Vancouver…and I’ve continued to focus on the world of flowers, albeit on a smaller, more intimate scale.
I like to feel as if I’m getting right down amongst the flowers as a gardener might. I delight in my subjects’ idiosyncrasies, and my work attempts to capture their personalities through colour and pattern.
Through smiles and tears, flowers are my constant friends.
